when your wings forget how to fly..

THE MANY FACES OF ANGELS

I looked across the earth and saw an enchanting scene,
the sky displayed the colors of yellow, pink and green.
The clouds were scattered for miles in every direction
I turned to go,
I couldn't cease from wondering about all I'd yet to know.

I looked into the face of an old friend from days gone by,
we laughed and reminisced of things that once had made us cry.
I recall constantly smiling and feeling refreshed like a child again,
it made me remember where I've been and things I've yet to begin.

I looked desperately for some hope, a reason; somewhere to belong,
my answers were revealed through the harmony of a beautiful song.
The music was enticing, full of inspiration and of grace,
and suddenly I felt my purpose of importance upon this place.

I looked into the eyes of a new life entering on this earth,
and the innocence inside us all bestowed to us at birth.
The child's eyes were blind to anything good or bad,
It made me want to return to the purity I once had.

I looked down into a box that once held a body with a soul,
and I thought of how lucky this person
is to finally be completely whole.
Not the ending of a life or tragedy with a bitter end,
but a life that has lived and learned,
and a heart begining to mend.

In every step you dare to walk, every place,
every person you meet,
an Angel resides in the background in every victory or defeat.
The outcome of a lesson is not based on win or lose,
it's the way you go about it
that's the path you chance to chose.

So, when you're looking for the answers,
all you must do is simply ask.
Pay attention to THE MANY FACES OF ANGELS,
for they often wear masks.

A Forever Friend

Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.

Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.

When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
Your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.

Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
If you turn and walk away,
your forever friend follows.
If you lose your way,
your forever friend guides you
and cheers you on.

Your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.
And if you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.
You have a forever friend for life,
and forever has no end.
